MacStadium provides integration between Orka and TeamCity. The TeamCity plugin automatically spins up and destroys ephemeral agents through a per-project cloud profile. New to Orka? See how teams use it for CI/CD.

Make sure that your TeamCity server is connected to your Orka environment through VPN. You can use a VPN client to establish temporary connectivity, or you can create a site-to-site VPN tunnel to keep the connection alive at all times.

Set up the integration

  1. Install the plugin from the JetBrains Marketplace.
  2. In your TeamCity server, go to the project you want to configure, then Edit Project Settings → Cloud Profiles → Create new profile.
  3. Set Cloud type to Orka Cloud, then fill in the fields below.
  4. Save. TeamCity will spin up and destroy agents in that Orka environment automatically from then on.
Create a service account token before you start. Personal tokens expire after one hour and will break agent provisioning:

Agent Push is not supported. Agents are only created through the cloud profile.

Known issues

  • You might experience a timeout when deploying an Apple ARM-based agent from a VM config for the first time on a node. Every subsequent deployment on the same ARM-based node will be successful.
